(New York, NY) – Venus Over Manhattan is pleased to host a conversation between artist Brad Kahlhamer and his longtime friend—and occasional collaborator—Alison Mosshart, the musician and artist known for her work with The Kills and The Dead Weather. Organized in conjunction with Kahlhamer’s debut solo exhibition at the gallery, "Bowery Nation: Birds Are Talking," currently on view at 39 Great Jones Street, the discussion will explore their shared inspirations, their love of music, and their mutual passion for cars—including their experience driving a car across a river in Arizona, as documented in Mosshart’s short film, "Oh Say." Their conversation will further explore the intersections between visual art, music, and storytelling.
